Mohamed Salah Extends Statement to Squad, Discloses Curtis Jones
Curtis Jones has shared that Mohamed Salah expressed regret to the entire Liverpool squad after the fallout from his public comments.
The Incident
Salah was left out from a key Champions League match subsequent to voicing frustrations and claiming his relationship with manager had soured.
“He speaks for himself and he can say his own stuff,” the midfielder said. “He said sorry to the group and was like: ‘If my words hurt anyone, I apologise.’”
Arne Slot has previously declined to reveal on whether he received a personal apology from the veteran striker.

Jones insisted that the team's response stayed normal. “He was the exact same Mo, he was smiling and we all treated him normally,” he continued.
The midfielder also suggested that a player's desire to start is a positive trait. “It's clear there are different methods you can handle situations,” he said. “However, if a player is content to just not start, then I think that’s more of an issue.”
Positive Results
Their results have been impressive in the matches since the initial controversy. He feels the Salah's words were not intended to destabilise the squad.
“If passion has boiled over, the source has been from a desire to win,” he finished. “We’re past that now and we’re building chemistry, performing and on a positive run.”
